Applying ICT to the Development of Intellectual Abilities
This work examines how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can foster the development of intellectual abilities, particularly among gifted students. It proposes that ICT facilitates individualised learning, enabling each student to progress at their own pace and develop higher-order cognitive skills. For gifted students, it highlights their potential to benefit from technological environments that promote autonomy, creativity and the solving of complex problems, particularly in areas such as mathematics, where interactive resources, simulations and the CAITAC model (Constructive, Self-Regulated, Interactive and Technological Learning for Gifted Students) are used. This model integrates technology as an active tool for learning with and through technology, strengthening logical and abstract thinking.
