Gender equality: one more woman professor of mathematics

The Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) appointed a woman professor to its Mathematics Department through a selection process open exclusively to women. This unprecedented call, supported by a robust legal rationale, aims to help reverse the substantial gender disparity among permanent mathematics faculty resulting from structural inequalities: 24% women compared with 76% men.
